Process
Capture Our photographer will capture a digital image of the original using
a high resolution DSLR camera, diffused daylight temperature lighting
and spirit-level calibrated tripods. The result is a consistent, shadow
free and undistorted image. Proofing
Repeated printing and adjustment of settings will take place until
we are happy that the proof is as close as we can get it to the
original. It should be noted that an exact colour match is rarely
possible due to the properties of the media itself - light reflecting
off of a print will behave differently to light reflecting off of oil,
acrylic, etc. The artist will sign and date the proof with the settings
to be used for the actual print run. A one off setup fee applies to
each image for proofing. Printing
The image is then printed as many times as required using the same
conditions and settings as the final proof. We use an Epson Large
Format Printer utilising the Epson K3 Ultrachrome pigment inks
guaranteed not to fade (under normal lighting conditions) for at least
75 years. We print on Epson Velvet Fine Art paper which is 100% cotton, acid free and 260g/m² in weight. We can print any size up to A2 but charge at A4, A3 or A2 sizes to keep it simple. We offer preferential rates for print presentation when ordered with prints. This includes a mount,
a backing board and a cellophane sleeve. The prints are then
immediately ready for display in browsers or portfolios.
